1/19/2024 0 Comments Logitech g305 dpi software![]() There is a clear, sharp tactile feedback on the down press, which makes for a very satisfying click. They are loud, with a fair amount of travel compared to other mice, though they are very light and I never felt fatigued using them. The main two buttons feel exactly like the ones on the G Pro, and are consistent and satisfying due to Logitech using their proprietary metal-spring tensioning on the buttons. It isn’t a massive problem, and I can get used to it and play well with it, but be aware of this if you really couldn’t stand it on the G Pro or the G102/203. This is okay on the left side, where my thumb is, but slightly irritates my ring and pinkie finger on the other side. The biggest issue with the shape is the sides – they bulge slightly outwards. The back slopes downwards, but not as far as the G100s or the G Pro Wireless, which in my opinion doesn’t feel as good in the palm. It is a small, oval shaped mouse, with slight comfort curves in the buttons. The G305 uses the same shell as the Logitech G Pro or the G102/203, so if you have tried those you will know what the G305 feels like. The mouse feet are curved at the edges and have a fast glide out of the box, without a long breaking-in period. You can set up to five DPI settings on the DPI toggle, and it moves in increments of 50 DPI all the way up to 12,000DPI, which I think will be more than enough even for people with the most hard-core multi-monitor 4K SLI Titan V setups out there. The G305 has on-board memory, so it carries all its settings from the Logitech Gaming Software. If you’re having an issue with the connection, there is a receiver extension included in the box so you can always move the receiver slightly to avoid issues. I didn’t test the range, but I never lost connection even in areas where there were a lot of devices using the 2.4ghz band. It’s as simple as plugging in the dongle and turning the mouse on. The wireless connection is flawless, like most Logitech Wireless mice these days. I have been using the mouse for bordering on two months now with a AAA battery, and it hasn’t shown signs of dying yet. The mouse is powered by an AA battery, though you can use a AAA with a converter or tin-foil. The mouse has an endurance mode, with a slower polling rate and thus response time, and a performance mode, which delivers on the promised 1000hz polling rate and 1ms response time, at the cost of lesser battery life. However, most of the mice don’t have this problem. Keep in mind that there have been reports of the HERO 12K and 16K spinning out from some users – get an RMA if this happens or try to troubleshoot with firmware and connections. It tracks smoothly, with no acceleration or skipping as far as I could tell, and no spin-outs either. During normal use and in-game, I couldn’t tell the difference between it and the PMW-3366 in the Logitech G Pro. The HERO 12K, like many top optical sensors on the market these days, is almost flawless in terms of performance. However, being a “budget” wireless mouse, what features does it sacrifice for the price? As it turns out, not many. It uses Logitech’s HERO 12K sensor for maximum battery life, and sports a 1000hz polling rate for the same 1ms response time as most wired mice. It takes the basic design of the Logitech G Pro, strips away everything but the necessities, and turns out a no-frills wireless gaming mouse that is great in many ways. The Logitech G305, or G304 in some regions, is currently the cheapest Logitech Lightspeed mouse (based on MSRP) available.
